As a nonprofit, we take our responsibility to the community seriously. Hawai`i Pacific Health reinvests all “profits” and surplus resources back into patient care and other valuable health services. In fiscal year 2009, we provided more than $100 million for the benefit of the Hawai`i community, including $10 million in charity and uncompensated care.
Each year, we also provide health care services and specialty care in communities where its needed; actively engage in a broad range of medical, research, education and training programs; and sponsor public health initiatives and services aimed at improving health quality outcomes.
