Golf Courses - Tournament North
Course -
The
Tournament North Course is one of only two golf courses in all of Hawaii
designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The legendary architect took full
advantage of the region's scenic beauty to create a course that is
distinctive and demanding. The North is typically Trent Jones, with
large, contoured greens that emphasize putting skill. It also boasts one
of the best finishing holes in the state: the 18th hole that Arnold
Palmer called one of the most challenging holes he'd ever played.

Hole #4 has ocean breezes and a 180 degrees views of the coast. The Bay
Course signature hole #5 asks you to carry over sparkling Oneloa Bay to

Wailea Golf Club -
Blue Course -
The grand lady of Wailea sits on the lowest slopes of Mt.
Haleakala, bedecked with colorful blooms and serene fountains, and continues
to charm her devoted fans, many of whom return time and again. The Blue Course
offers a picturesque "tour" of the resort, with views not only
of the ocean and dormant volcano, but also of Waileas luxurious hotels,
condominiums, and exclusive residential communities. During the winter months,
golfers can catch sight of the magnificent humpback whales who return to
Maui waters every year to breed and bear young.

Emerald Course -
Like the Gold, the Wailea Emerald is a spectacularly scenic
course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. And boasting panoramic views
of its natural surrounding. In contrast to the Golds rugged character,
the Emerald is far more sensuous, like a lovingly tended tropical playground,
bursting with exotic blossoms and lush landscaping. The Emerald was designed
for pure golf enjoyment, regardless of skill level. The pristine course
offers a greater measure of forgiveness than the Gold. With four to six
tee boxes on every hole, players have flexibility to tailor the course to
their personal ability and preferences.

- Gold Course -
For players seeking a real challenger, the Wailea Gold Course
is it. Created by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course sports a rugged and
natural look. Strategically placed bunkers and hazards, changes in elevation
and masterfully designed dog legs have earned the Wailea Gold the reputation
of being a "thinking players" course, rewarding good strategy
and finesse. One of the Golds most unusual hazards are low lava rock
walls scattered throughout the course. Called papohaku, these walls were
built by early Hawaiians and carefully left in tact during course construction,
a practice which earned the golf club an award for its preservation efforts.
